Unist’ot’en Camp has recently learned that the construction phase of the proposed Pacific Trails Pipeline has started from the East and also from the West. They intend to have the pipeline finished to the Eastern and Western borders of our unceded lands with us as the last obstacle.
The entire illegitimate BC governmental system as well as the Harper regime plan on using mainstream media and their powers within to come down hard on the Wet’suwet’en for our refusal to allow them to bully their way into our lands.
It is time for us Wet’suwet’en to hunker down and assemble all of the allies and supporters and begin working at shutting down the present construction phase. All researchers and activists who have committed to helping us need to step up now and provide help where you can.

Who are the real terrorists? Certainly not the people working to protect the land. In this video, Unis’tot’en Camp member Dini Ze Toghestiy talks about the mislabling of land defenders as terrorists, when the opposite is true. Indigenous land defenders are protecting their lands and communities from the terrorism of colonialism and industrial resource extraction.

So saddened by this further abuse by our government. The people do not want it, but besides that they want to take it thru sovereign land! I say no, we are fighting for a light sentence of 3 Michigan women in jail now for protesting here, on terrorism charges!

Hi, I would love to help but not sure how I could exactly. I am a student living in Chicago, Illinois.
Please write me back and let me know if there is anything I can do.

Hey. I was at the camp in 2012.

What sort of help do you need? Picketers, organizers here in Vancouver, fundraisers?

I helped out organizing one art-sale fundraiser, I’d be happy to do another. But if you need boots on the ground, I’m down for that too. Just don’t want to show up before you need me, give ya another mouth to feed.

  • The website is a work in progress but trust, Cascadian Bioregionalists want this stopped as badly as you do. Consider that a Cascadia Cooperative Commonwealth would be a far better place to raise your children. Finally, you would be living alongside people who would respect you and the land that comprises your ancestral home. A Bioregionalist is NOT a proponent of Destruction Capitalism. A new paradigm (old to you) must be put in place for those who came here from Europe and other lands and have shown such horrifically poor judgement to date.

  • I pray for your victory in this fight.

I’ve told people before that the powers that be are in controls n if they can make $ on it they will do it… So what? The judicial system is so slow in Canada so it would actually take longer to go through court than to finish the project!!!!! It’s a corrupt World we All lice In!!!! :(

  • I am confused. pacific Trails Pipeline claims that the Wet’suwet’en have signed onto the pipeline deal. i am against Northern gateway but this is LNG.

    • Brian,
The people at the Unist’ot’en camp are grassroots Wet’suwet’en people, acting under the authority of the Unis’ot’en clan, one of five Wet’suwet’en clans. The clan system is the traditional and still active syetem of goverance in Wet’suwet’en territory, like most/all of ‘British Columbia’ so-called. The hereditary chiefs and elders of the Unist’ot’en clan are the last word on what goes on in their territory, not band council or anyone else claiming to represent the Wet’suwet’en.
The Unist’ot’en have recognized the threat that both LNG and tarsands pipelines are not only to their territories, but to the earth itself, and have taken a strong stand against any LNG or tarsands pipelines crossing their territory.
You can find further details on the Unist’ot’en and this positon throughout the website, including this article:

  • What is the date for this most recent call to Action?
I can’t tell if it is from 2013 or 2014 – just want to know that action is appropriate and that we have up to date news.
    In Solidarity!

  • How does one become involved to help the indigenous people’s??? I live in Chipman, Alberta and want and need to become part of the solution. I don’t know where to start or how to get involved. Is there anyone who could get me going in the right direction. It saddens my heart to see what these pipelines are doing to the health of ALL PEOPLE And Animals…I know if we don’t stop and make drastic changes the damage will take millenia to repair if at all….

  • While we all have our own fights and I can not help much from far, we have the same enemies: The big corporations and the corrupt governments who are bought by the corporations and who are not acting in the interests of the people. There is no difference between Obamastan, Harperstan and Merkelstan.

My best wishes for your fight. Stay safe, sail strong. We will overcome at last.

  • I am so sick of a government that turns it’s back on all the people of this land. This is not just a Native issue, it
is one we should all be outraged about. The Harper regime has to be stopped at all cost, they are the true terrorists.
Harper has the corporations and banker’s making all this money at the cost of wildlife, forestry and our water. I hope the RCMP,OPP, QPP and our armed forces realize they should be protecting Canada not a run away communist government. This present government is using the PC name to achieve the agenda of the North American Reform Party which Harper was a member. As far as I’m concerned Harper is a traitor to the Canadian people and has no right to force his plan with the big oil corporations or China on First Nations Land. If this comes to bloodshed I hope that bastard gets his and burns in hell.

  • Hi my name is Ryan and I am from the Siksika Nation located in Alberta. I am Blackfoot. Well I would like to come to the camp to help with the protection of our Mother Earth. If that would be possible. If not I have other things that I could do for you to help raise funds for the cause. But I would personally like to be there.

    Yours truly

    Ryan Jason Allen Willert

  • you guys stay strong over there. I’d be there now, but sadly im on the opposite side of Canada. keep up the great work

I have heard the voices of the Grandfathers, they have come to me when I sit by the water. They have told me to give away the land I have title to. The deeds that transferred interest in the land are indentures. And the forked tongue language of the wetiko makes an indenture both a noun and a verb in these contracts. It is fitting that the white man is now an indentured servant to the land that was never his to own, the land that he has tortured with his greed. The fifth seal has been broken I hear the voices of those who love this land as I do and as you do as well, those who know that there is only one spirit. and they say the time has come. There is a legend told by the Hopi people of the Blue Kachina. My heart tells me it has come again. I stand with you my brothers, I am the one that speaks for the many.
